Finale 7. Evropskega prvenstva v Slam poeziji, ki ga je na spletu v živo spremljalo več kot 300 gledalcev iz vsega sveta, je okronal novega prvakinjo. To je španska predstavnica Olza Olzeta, ki je s svojimi izjemnimi nastopi in pesmimi osvojila najvišje ocene strokovne žirije in publike.
Po napetih petkovih predfinalnih izborih se je vznemirjenje ob letošnjem 7. Evropskem prvenstvu v slam poeziji danes postopoma približevalo vrelišču. Deseterica finalistov – Lucerna do Moco (Portugalska), Richárd Sárközi (Madžarska), Eva Kokalj (Slovenija), Dino More – Tremens (Hrvaška), Olza Olzeta (Španija), Julie Lombe (Belgija), Solja Krapu (Finska), Ondřej Hrabal (Češka), Panagiotis Drakopoulos (Grčija) in Alexander Delphinov (Rusija) – se je na nocojšnjem tekmovanju predstavila s popolnoma svežimi nastopi, s katerimi so navdušili strokovno žirijo in več kot 300 gledalcev, ki so čez spletne kanale MKC Maribor in partnerskih organizacij dogajanje spremljali v živo.
Pet izmed njih – Lucerna do Moco, Eva Kokalj, Dino More – Tremens, Olza Olzeta in Panagiotis Drakopoulos – se je z najvišjimi skupnimi ocenami uspešno prebilo v ožji izbor, kjer so se predstavili še s tretjim nastopom.
S skupno 83,4 točkami od 90 je po napetem ocenjevanju končno zmago slavila španska prvakinja Olza Olzeta, ki bo ob prestižnem naslovu v nagrado prejela tudi uradni pokal prvenstva, umetniško skulpturo Jožeta Šubica, letošnjega prejemnika nagrade ZDSLU za življenjsko delo. Ob razglasitvi se je tudi sama čez splet javila v prenos prvenstva ter povedala, da je zmaga popolnoma nepričakovana in da je neizmerno srečna, saj se je imela prvič priložnost predstaviti na mednarodnem nivoju, zaradi česar se je iskreno zahvalila tako organizatorjem letošnjega prvenstva kot tudi organizaciji Slam Poetry Barcelona, ki ji je omogočila udeležbo.
Drugo mesto si je prislužil Lucerna do Moco iz Portugalske, tretje mesto pa je zasedla slovenska predstavnica Eva Kokalj.
Skupno si je predizbora in finale čez spletni prenos v živo ogledalo več kot 750 gledalcev iz Slovenije in tujine, ki so s svojimi odzivi in komentarji popestrili dogajanje ter s pomočjo spletnega glasovanja oddali 601 glas, s katerimi so neposredno soodločali o uvrstitvah v finale ter izbiri končnega zmagovalca.
Dvojezične in interaktivne dogodke sta povezovala Juš Milčinski in Mojca Frim, s kratkim pozdravnim nagovorom pa sta nastopajoče in gledalce ob tej priložnosti nagovorila direktorica MKC Maribor Marja Guček in podžupanja Mestne občine Maribor Alenka Iskra.
Nastope je ocenjevala strokovna komisija, ki so jo sestavljali pesnica in izkušena slamerka iz Makedonije Elena Prendžova, pesnik in izvežban kulturni organizator Mario Tomić iz Avstrije, zvočni performer in eno prvih imen v evropskem slamu Jaan Malin iz Estonije ter domači vitez poezije in literarni kritik Denis Škofič, petino glasov pa prispevali gledalci, ki so ob spremljanju spletnega prenosa lahko oddajali ocene za vsak posamezni nastop s pomočjo spletnega vprašalnika.
Korektnost in točnost tekmovanja je ves čas dogajanja budno nadzorovala nadzorna komisija prvenstva, ki sta jo sestavljala rapovski glasbenik ter slamer Mišel Ristov ter pesnica ter kritičarka Helena Zemljič.

Tonight’s finals of the 7th European Poetry Slam Championship, viewed online in real time by more than 300 people from all around the world, delivered a new champion. With her extraordinary performances and poems, Spanish performer Olza Olzeta received the highest ratings from the jury and the public.
After the intense Friday’s semi-finals, the excitement at this year’s 7th European Poetry Slam Championship gradually came to a climax. At tonight’s event, ten finalists – Lucerna do Moco (Portugal), Richárd Sárközi (Hungary), Eva Kokalj (Slovenia), Dino More – Tremens (Croatia), Olza Olzeta (Spain), Julie Lombe (Belgium), Solja Krapu (Finland), Ondřej Hrabal (Czech Republic), Panagiotis Drakopoulos (Greece) in Alexander Delphinov (Russia) – performed entirely new slam poems, enchanting the jury and more than 300 viewers, who were able to follow the programme live via the online channels of the Youth Cultural Centre (MKC) Maribor and its partner organizations. Five finalists – Lucerna do Moco, Eva Kokalj, Dino More – Tremens, Olza Olzeta in Panagiotis Drakopoulos – with highest total ratings were short-listed for another, 3rd performance round.
After tight ratings and amassing 83,4 out of 90 total points, Olza Olzeta was finally crowned the champion, winning the prestigious title. She was also awarded with the official championship trophy, a sculpture made by Jože Šubic, this year’s recipient of the ZDSLU award for life’s work and a special one-of-a-kind vinyl record that contains the highlights of this year’s Tournament.
More than 750 viewers from Slovenia and abroad watched the two semi-finals and the finale via an online broadcast. Their comments and reactions kept the programme lively, and their 601 votes via an online voting system directly helped choose the finalists and the championship winner. The 2nd place was awarded to Lucerna do Moco from Portugal, and the 3rd place to Eva Kokalj from Slovenia.
The bilingual and interactive events were moderated by Juš Milčinski and Mojca Frim. The events were opened by short welcoming speeches by Marja Guček, the director of MKC Maribor, and Alenka Iskra, Maribor Municipality deputy mayor.
The performances were judged by an expert jury: poet and experienced slam poet Elena Prendžova from Macedonia, poet and skilled cultural organizer Mario Tomić from Austria, sound performer and one of the best-known slam poets in Europe Jaan Malin from Estonia, as well as the Slovenian poetry knight and literary critic Denis Škofič. One fifth of the votes for the contestants was calculated from the viewership votes for each individual performance via an online voting system during the online broadcast.
The correctness and accuracy of the championship was constantly under supervision by the supervising committee of Mišel Ristov, a rap musician and slam poet, as well as Helena Zemljič, poet and literary critic.
